Hello to the World!
by Bob Chatman on Dec.20, 2008, under Progress Reports
It is customary with all initial builds of an application to do the Hello World message. It is a well known and often clichéd message that is well known throughout the software development world. I am quite proud to have the opportunity to write this, the inaugural post, and introducing you into the worlds of Project: White.
I am the project lead and support coder for the mod, focusing my energies on administration and some of the more interesting aspects of unreal scripting, and allowing my team to do what they do best with the least worry and frustration necessary. We are a group of developers associated with Gneu.org, and as such we are a part of the community. We are available for questions, comments and so forth, with the primary goal of providing a game that not only adheres to our vision, but also the needs of the community we build around it.
This blog is slowly expanding into a beautiful flower. One that is undeniably fragrant and pungent, but also one that eats bugs. Our intention here is to allow you all to have a glimpse into our development at a level that has not been heard of before. We are open, we are available, and we are willing to help.
So let me end this with a quote that I am proud to have the opportunity to share with you…

The world needs to be explored. Life needs to be lived and experienced fully. Today I realized that I am not too old to try some lysergic acid and MDMA once again. (There is a song from hallucinogen that drives me crazy. It is from the album The Lone Deranger: Horrogram.) I will consider this as a goal for 2009.
