by Bob Chatman on Apr.29, 2009, under Progress Reports
Below is a Screenshot of our new front end map, with post processing working and killing your eyes. Be well aware that these are 2 months in the making, so if you make water on your computer chair, my apologies. Enjoy these regardless.
ServerS Are up and running
by Bob Chatman on Apr.27, 2009, under Code & Programming, Progress Reports
This weekend Nandeep and I set up two servers, one for EU players and one for US players, both are running and ready for people to play with us, and with each other. This is going to be quite a release. I am actually working on a new couple things, specifically the frontend map has been overhauled, care of John, but its not doing post processing. That is where i come in.
Hopefully ill get it updated for release!
Setting up a server
by Bob Chatman on Apr.20, 2009, under Progress Reports
After the release in early march our team has a heavy discussion to battle through. The ModDB “review” irritated a number of us, but it did point out a valid concern – we need a server. We had already laid plans for one of our members to have his server setup to work with our mod, but he had some personal issues that pulled him away.
The good news is that we have now got a server working, actively. I personally took this onto my own shoulders to make sure that things worked out smoothly, and let me just say that its been a blast. Although i must warn you, its not entirely done.
- Running UT1.3
- Built on Linux (Ubuntu)
- Dedicated Server
- Fast as freaking hell
- Smooth
- Not running Project: White yet
- Broadcasting/Advertising
I just found out about the Linux 2.0 beta and will be pushing that forward in the next couple days, so keep your ears/eyes open!
